School of Education

The School of Education has the task and responsibility of forming Christian, competent and committed teachers for the elementary and secondary levels who are imbued with the knowledge of pedagogy and research.

The School aims to establish a comprehensive continuing teacher education program which will not only address the needs of the faculty of the college but that of the University in general, as well as other teachers in the field, including the alumni.

Furthermore, it seeks to strengthen on-going linkages and establish further networks within the University and the local, national, and international academic institutions, organizations, and associations.

Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd)**

* BEED will have additional 57 units of enrichment subjects in English, Filipino, Math, Science, Values Ed, Social Studies, MAPE and TLE. There will only be 2 majors:
    Special Education (Sped)
    Pre-School Program (PSP formerly ECP

** BSED will have the following majors of 60 units: English, Filipino, Math, Physical Sciences, Biolgical Sciences, Values Education, PEHM and Islamic Studies.

Diploma in Teaching

30 Units course that includes the required Professional Education Units and Practice Teaching

Diploma in Special Education Program

For the professional who have completed the 18 units Professional Education subject required for LET, and a 33-unit Special Education subject will be offered: 24 units, 1st sem and 9 units practicum course for the 2nd sem.

18 units Professional Education subjects required to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).


Note: For SY 2005-2006, the new Teacher Education Curriculum (CMO s. 2004) is implemented.
