The Research Institute for Mindanao Culture (RIMCU) was founded in 1957 by Rev. Francis C. Madigan, S.J., Ph.D. RIMCU's mandate is the pursuit of high quality social sciences to advance the development of the Philippines, in general, and Mindanao, in particular. It is the research arm of Xavier University, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. RIMCU researches represent a wide range of social science disciplines: sociology, demography, anthropology, economics, epidemiology and political science.
